Abstract
This paper presents a study in which a formative assessment experience has been carried out with primary education teachers in training in the context of a disciplinary mathematics subject. In this research, the influence of the follow-up of that formative assessment on the specialized knowledge of the mathematical content of the student is analyzed against the non-performance of it. The results show better results in the students who followed the formative assessment both with respect to the number of students who passed the subject and with respect to the rates of performance, success and academic performance that are usually used to measure the academic performance of the students.
