Résumé
There are some regions where the population is declining. This may be secondary to increasing infertility, largelydue to a worldwide deterioration in semen quality. Metal concentrations in semen play an important role in maleinfertility. Metals such as Al, V, Pb have a negative effect on ART outcomes, such as embryo cleavage, blastocystrate and even embryo quality, all leading to a decrease in pregnancy rate. There is currently no doubt about theeffect of metals on semen quality. Measures should be taken to improve the environment and reduce the presenceof metals. This knowledge allows us to take clinical action to minimize consequences
