Miriam González Álvarez graduated in Fine Arts from the Complutense University of Madrid and is currently working on her doctoral thesis in the Doctoral Programme in Art and Humanities at the University of La Laguna. In 2019 she was awarded the Young Talents Scholarship at the Contemporary School of Humanities in Madrid and in 2021 she published her first book entitled "Places of Nobody". Currently, she is a research staff in training at the University of La Laguna after obtaining the FPI Grant from the Government of the Canary Islands together with the Canary Islands Agency for Research, Innovation and Information Society and the European Social Fund. Her research is focused on the study of the relationship between audiovisual narratives and identity formation, working on gender archetypes and the construction of symbolic references and social imaginaries based on visual culture.
