Doctor by the Universidad de La Laguna with the thesis Ab initio la teorización sobre el primitivo poblamiento humano de Canarias : fuentes etnohistóricas, historiografía y arqueología : (1342-1969) 2003. Supervised by Dr. María del Carmen del Arco Aguilar.

PhD in History from the University of La Laguna (Prehistory and Archaeology program). Recipient of the Extraordinary Doctorate Award from the University of La Laguna in the Humanities division, the Antonio Rumeu de Armas Historical Research Journalism Award, and *The European Archaeologist Photojournalist Award*. Member of the Spanish Society for the History of Archaeology (SEHA), the History of Archaeology Research Network (HARN), the European Association of Archaeologists (EAA), and the University Association of Social Sciences Education Professorship (AUPDCS). His research focuses on heritage education, comparative education, and educational innovation within the field of Social Sciences Didactics, as well as on Canarian archaeology, including studies on the history of the discipline, the settlement of the Canary Islands, rock art, and identity construction. He has served as Vice Dean of the Degree in Primary Education, Culture and Social Outreach at the Faculty of Education, and as Academic Coordinator of the Master’s Degree in Teacher Training for Compulsory Secondary Education, Baccalaureate, Vocational Training, and Language Teaching (Humanities Specialization).
