Itahisa Pérez Pérez. Associate Professor at the University of La Laguna (ULL). She has been Vice-Dean of the Degree in Early Childhood Education and Social Projection at the ULL. PhD in Development and Citizenship: Human Rights, Equality, Education and Social Intervention. Degree in Pedagogy. Master's Degree in Education for Development, Social Awareness and Culture of Peace, Master's Degree in Social Education and Sociocultural Animation and University Specialist in University Teaching Innovation in the European Higher Education Area. Expert in Emotional Intelligence. Teaching Excellence Award from the UPO. Diploma of Recognition by the National Autonomous University of Nicaragua-Managua (UNAN-Managua). He has participated in national research projects and international development cooperation. Member of the Socio-Educational Action Research Group -GIAS- (HUM 929) and the Group "Diversity, Health and Education (DISAE)". She has made stays at the UNAN-Managua (Nicaragua), the National School of Public Health (Havana, Cuba), the University of Castilla-La Mancha and the University of Seville. She is a member of the Iberoamerican Society of Social Pedagogy (SIPS), the Spanish Society of Pedagogy (SEP), the European Educational Research Association (EERA) and the World Education Research Association (WERA). Secretary of the Iberoamerican Society of Social Pedagogy (SIPS). Passionate about education, empowerment of people, participation, values and emotional intelligence. She considers all these aspects as key drivers of change and development of society. Aware of the potential of the person, of the ability to unlearn and grow. She trusts in life and her motto is "Nothing happens by chance...everything that comes into your life is for something". In fact, he has reached this point thanks to all the experiences he has lived through, to all the lessons he has learned from every fall, from every stumble. He believes that crises are good because they offer the opportunity to look inside and redirect the path.
