Abstract

Euphemism is a common phenomenon in the languages, pragmatics and literatures, and it plays an essential role in the interpersonal communications and public relations. However, there lacks of systematical contrastiveness of euphemism between Chinese and Spanish in existing researches. In additional, as a crowning achievement in classical Chinese literature, Dream of Red Mansions is an important resource in the fields of linguistics, whereas the studies on it in Spanish are obvious deficiencies compared with other languages. In this paper, we deeply analyze the relationships between euphemism in Chinese and Spanish.
