Resumen

At this point in time, the means related to the new trends in tourism are expanding w ith great success, and with them comes the need for new techniques to promote the tourist destinations. Nowadays, the aim is not only to create new trends, but also to know how to promote these tourist destinations effectively. The objective of this study is to describe and analyse the role of the film commission in the promotion of tourism on the island of Tenerife, as well as analyzing the audiovisual sector as a tool to promote the tourist destinations, and therefore promote the cooperation between the audiovisual and the tourist sectors.
