Doctor by the Universidad de La Laguna with the thesis Los guanches conquista y anticonquista del archipiélago canario 2015. Supervised by Dr. Juan Claudio Acinas Vázquez, Dr. Fernando Estévez González.
He teaches and researches in the field of Sociology of Culture, from where he studies the processes of construction of political and cultural identities and their links with science, ideology and the nation-state. He is related to areas of knowledge such as Cultural Studies, Decolonial Thought and Psychoanalysis, and works on issues related to racism, sexism and Eurocentrism in the Canary Islands, Equatorial Guinea and the Spanish State. He is a founding member of the Decolonial Studies and Critical Thinking Research Group of the University of La Laguna (GIEDPEC), of the Interuniversity Research Group The Tourist Experience: image, body and death in the culture of leisure (TURICOM), of the International Research Group Laboratoire d'Etudes Romanes (LER, EA 4385), of the Université Paris 8 (Saint-Denise, France), and of the Centre for African Studies of the University of La Laguna (CEAULL). He coordinates the cycle of thought Not-All: criticism and negativity of the Museo Tenerife Espacio de las Artes (TEA).
