Soraya Paz Montelongo (Spain, 1993). PhD in Health Sciences (2018), Graduate in Chemistry (2015), Master in Teacher Training (2018), Master in Food Safety and Quality (2016). She holds the official Diploma in Public Health (2019) taught by the School of Health and Social Services of the Canary Islands (ESSSCAN). Extraordinary Doctorate Award from the University of La Laguna. Award from the Official College of Pharmacists for the work entitled "Determination of Metals in Tofu. Nutritional and Toxicological Evaluation" (2017). She has taught in University Extension Courses within the framework of the "Capacita" project funded by the Cabildo de Tenerife. She has directed/co-directed more than 15 Master's and Bachelor's degree final projects of different degrees of the ULL, being also a member of evaluation tribunals. She is a member of the Interuniversity Group of Food and Environmental Toxicology. Her line of research focuses on the evaluation and monitoring of contaminants in food and environmental samples. She is part of the research team of the international project PERVEMAC II (MAC 2014-2020). Author of more than 80 articles in scientific journals indexed in JCR and 10 book chapters published by prestigious international publishers. She has attended and participated in international and national conferences, with more than 40 communications. Currently, according to Scopus, she has an h-index of 14. She has been a reviewer of more than 60 articles in international journals indexed in JCR. Corresponding member of the Royal Academy of Medicine of Santa Cruz de Tenerife (2017-present). Editor of the international journals indexed in JCR "Sustainability" and "International Journal of Food Science and Biotechnology". She has been editor of special issues in JCR-indexed journals. Member of the reviewer board of the international journal "International Journal of Environmental and Public Health" of MDPI.
