Resumen

This article analyzes Pre-School and Primary Education teaching staff knowledge about child maltreatment indicators and about risk factors associated with it. 35 teachers participated in the study, completing a questionnaire about their knowledge and its attitudes towards child maltreatment. The results showed that teachers had good enough knowledge about different indicators associated to child maltreatment, and specially about those involving externalized behaviours. Teachers were also able to recognize risk factors corresponding to their different dimensions, with special emphasis on ontogenetic dimension.
