Abstract
Here we present a study which interprets the characteristics of the working class families whose children obtain good academic achievements. We assume that: educative differences due to the social origin are maintained, the social status of the families affects socialization models, and there will be higher chances of school success when the school and family socialization models will be more similar. Among others results, we find that the school success happens despite the type of family and its educative practices are not the most adequate from the school point of view.
